As some of you know, we’ve been having one hell of a time trying to book our wedding group package. We’ve talk to 3 travel agents one tried to get us to book in July, so we talked and rescheduled to September. Then they proceeded to not get back to us, another lost emails and took 3 weeks to get us quotes and the last ended up being the winner as she got us a quote in 2 days. Suffice to say that Marlin Travel just got huge points in my book.
I’ve always done the planning by myself for Alison and I. I don’t mind it at all since I get to learn about other cultures and when’s the best time to do something else. I knew I was over my head when we decided to get married on a beach in Cuba. But honestly I didn’t think it would take this much time. It almost makes me consider a second career in travel.
So now we are working out the details for our wedding away and we will be updating our wedding information page as the details come in. We are going to sign the contract with the resort sometime this week.
I hope many of you can join us on this adventure, and if it sucks … blame it on the travel agent, because it’s not me.
